‘It’s showtime’ one could say: so much is happening in the skies, and quite possibly in our lives too. In the first half of the month, the Spleen Center, which has an emphasis on the immediate, using our senses to determine if the environment is safe and healthy, still plays a big role. Meanwhile, our individual feelings and insights gain importance. November 18-21 is a time of transition; from the 22nd onward expect solid action supported by the Sacral Center, the seat of our life force.
Until the 17th, Venus travels through Spleen Gates. To begin with, Venus and Pluto form the Channel of Transformation (Oct 31 – Nov 4, with Venus in Gate 32, Duration, and Pluto in 54, Ambition). It is easy now to network and find the right people to help you achieve take important steps, whether on the material or the spiritual plane. Keep an eye on what personal integrity means for you; Pluto in Gate 54, Line 3, can make you compromise yourself in your desire to get ahead. With Venus on the other side of the Channel it may mean: using charm to advance your career. There is no right or wrong in this, it depends on what feels right for you.
Note: this was written before the news about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior broke. It highlights for me how difficult it can be to maintain integrity in a situation where the person with the power to make one rich and famous is abusing that power to get his sexual appetite satisfied. The same happens in many walks of life, poisoning relations between women and men. Let us hope that the emotional uproar (South Moon Node in Gate 49, Revolution ‘Enough now!’) leads to permanent change (the North Moon Node in Gate 4, Mental Solutions, tends to offer quick fixes that do not last long). From the perspective of this theme, the move of the Moon Nodes to Gates 7 and 13 on the 18th of this month indicates the need for people to listen to each other without any preconceptions, and then decide on a common way to proceed.
Between 9 and 17 November, Venus stands together with Jupiter, which is in the Spleen all month: first in Gate 28, the Game Player, and then in 44, Patterns. It indicates luck in the game of life, and support to follow your intuition when opportunities present themselves. Gate 44 helps to recognize the situations and people where risking brings expansion.
The Spleen, which is concerned with our survival, sometimes gives rise to unconscious fears – with the Gates activated this month, these could be of death, failure or the past. When you notice that fear arises, bring your awareness to how you feel in your body this very moment. If you notice discomfort, make a move to improve your well-being, which is also part of the sphere of the Spleen. When you make yourself feel at home in your body, you reassure your Spleen that everything is OK.
Later this month, from the 25th until Dec 3, Mars creates the same Channel of Transformation with Pluto. Where Venus pulls, Mars likes to push to get ahead, possibly creating imbalances. Saturn, all month in Gate 11, Harmony, reminds us that achievements for which we forgo our inner harmony are not stable. It pays to let short-term tactical gains be in accordance with our long-term strategic vision.
From Nov 5-27, Sun and Earth traverse Gates in the individual Circuitry. These Gates elucidate the relationship between us as a person and the universe. How do we express universal creativity and receive guidance (Nov 5-10, Gate 1 and 2), what insights do we get and how to share them (Nov 11-16, Gate 43 and 23), how do we deal with what life gives us and what do we contribute (Nov 17-21, Gate 14 and 8) and finally, how do we manifest what we want (Nov 22-27, Gate 34-20) are the themes here. In the last case, the powerful drive from the Sacral Center mixes with the individual aspects of the Gates. Because it often takes time for the world to understand and accept the insights individuals receive, you can easily feel misunderstood or isolated. When you have these Gates defined in your Chart you probably know these feelings as part of your life; now everyone can experience them. It helps to ask yourself: are others ready to hear what I have to say? When your sense of timing is correct, your personal sharing enriches the collective and you will feel contented.
A fresh start
November 18 is a turning point. To begin with, it is New Moon, time of new beginnings. Then the Moon Nodes, after several months in Gate 4, Doubt and 49, Revolution, move to Gate 7, Uniformity and 13, the Listener. The mental questioning and emotional ‘This has to change!’ undercurrent make way for ‘How can we advance together, while accepting each of us as a unique voice’. With Earth and Venus in the Channel of Inspiration (1-8) and Mercury and Jupiter in Enterprise (26-44), it is a good time to launch a heart-felt project and tell the world about it. From Nov 22-27 Sun and Earth in the Channel of Charisma (20-34), give our actions a magical touch, while Mars and Pluto help to get things done. Go for it!
