I am passionate about Human Design. So I took the trouble – and the fun, as it turned out – of creating a website, a flyer, visiting cards, a logo- the whole publicity thing- and I found a session room. It was more than I could do alone; and so I learn to work together with people. There is a line in my design saying that to share experiences with others fulfills something in my life. I can testify now that this is true. One more point for the HD!
I also booked a stand at an esoteric fair, the Lebenskraft Messe in Zurich. Working with the woman I love, who is a master (mistress?) in presenting and decorating, we designed the four square meters that were to be the home and showplace of Yourhumandesign in these days. I went out to get the materials, from big banner to tiny plant, and then put them together at home. It all fitted in the car and here we were: setup day in the Kongresshaus, a spacious venue with a 1970s flair right at the lake of Zurich.
Four eventful days followed. To stand in the marketplace and present my work is a big challenge for me. Emotionally, I dragged myself through muddy valleys and soared around mountain tops. I had interesting meetings, working together with my beloved turned into a sort of divine play – I was amazed- and sessions were coming in. It is such a gift to read Human Design for somebody! A meeting in a deep manner. There are moments I feel that the reflection that the system offers ‘lands’ in someone and I know then that a seed of change has been planted in that person’s life. It is quite awesome.
I distilled some things out of the sessions I gave and I want to share them with you. Here is the first one.
It is a message for those of us with an open emotional center. In a Human Design chart, the emotional center is the triangle on the right. The one I colored in the diagram. In the body it is the solar plexus. The majority of people have the center or one or more of the channels going out from it colored in. When this center is all white, however, we have an open emotional center. I am one of these people, so I speak for myself too. We do feel, very deeply even. Close to the heart of feeling, so to say. We are capable of deep empathy. But it can be hard to access this depth of feeling. It often only happens when we are alone or in a situation where the feeling waves of everyone present are synchronizing, for instance when we are at a music concert.
We can get thrown about by the more upper layers of feeling, the emotions. There the waves can be rough. ‘Why do people need this?’ we wonder. And especially: ‘why do I get involved with them in this?’ They need it because their design is such that their life energy expresses through the emotions. It can bring them grace, abundance, a passion for life and an openness to relate.
A person with open emotions can easily be filled with the emotions of someone else and then think they are his own. Or that he needs to defend himself against the incoming emotion by creating an antagonistic one. Or a corresponding emotion to please or pacify the other. These activities take us, the ones with the open emotions, away from ourselves. We start to feel estranged and not ‘real’ anymore. The basic remedy is to recognize the situation. Then we can employ some practical steps, which differ for each individual, to come back to ourselves. With some practice we can be present with someone who sends out strong emotions and with ourselves simultaneously. Then a miracle starts to happen: just being present, we mirror the person who is emotional. This is our gift to them. And they give us the exuberance and splendor of life by experiencing it. Often, through our presence, the emotional climate deepens, becomes more true, colorful, expressing Spirit and beauty.
We all hold gifts for each other which we have forgotten to see. One reason I am passionate about Human Design is because it helps people remember.
