Since the solar eclipse of July 2 in the sign of Cancer, we have entered a time where we hold our relationships against the light, so to say. This involves Venus, which stands for our feminine side. Do we hold on to any old patterns, which may feel comfortable but now hold back new evolutions in our relationships? Like it or not, they are in full view now, prompting us to reevaluate if the ways we relate are still in tune with the world around us – and the people in it.
An important step in this process happens on July 16, when a partial Moon eclipse will be visible in parts of Australia, Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. There its culmination is around 23.30 CEST. Then the shadow of the earth will cover two thirds of the full moon. Go and watch it if you have a chance.
Our inner world is affected as well. The Moon, Earth and Pluto are all in Gate 61, Inner Truth, while Venus is together with the North Node in Gate 53, which is named New Beginnings, in the 2nd Line, ‘Fortune smiles’. After having let go of old ideas of relating, now we have the possibility to start afresh. Gate 61 is a gateway to our inner knowing, which can show us what we need to revitalize our relationships. To listen to our inner knowing, we need some distance from the noise of the mind. When you have a way to access a moment of silence, this is the time to apply it.
If you have a chance to watch the eclipse, or if you have some moments for yourself in that time, you can use the event to enter your inner world (as the moon gets progressively more in shadow). Look for the light that is waiting inside you. Imagine that it shines on the possible tight spots or limiting patterns in how you relate. As the moon becomes bright again, you may well find yourself with new insights in how you can create more openness and space in your relationships.
