October and November brought intense energy, developments in various directions, and maybe even peak experiences. Now, December is here with a message of consolidation. It’s time to breathe out, lean back, and review the events of the last months.
The way you can benefit from these transits
If you are like me, you do not believe in this stuff. At least, not at first sight. However, I know that Human Design works, and that at its heart is the understanding that we humans are not separate from the world in which we live, including the planets and their movements. From that point of view I started to explore the transits and I wrote a monthly column about them. By the time it was published I had forgotten what I had written. Afterwards, looking back, I noticed that the developments I had described were actually taking place. That’s how I learned to use these transits to feel more at ease in my daily life.
I see them as a kind of weather forecast. When you know how the weather will be in the coming days, you can adapt your plans to it. It’s like sailing on a ship: on your way through life, it makes a lot of difference if you can run downwind, or if it is a time to sail into the wind.
The transit climate
So how is the transit climate in December? All month, the North Moon Node in Gate 52, the Mountain, provides stability and a good vantage point for an overview. The South Node, which stands for things we learned in the past, is in Gate 58, Joyous Aliveness, 5th Line, Being Discrete. While the love of life is certainly there, along with it comes a certain distance. This may feel like ‘This was fun before, but now it seems a bit old, something I already lived.’ Have a good look in which experiences you want to participate, and which ones you can let pass by. Still, Gate 58 is a pressure gate from our Root center, that wants us to express ourselves through action. There has to be some fun too…
Pluto in Gate 61, Inner Truth, urges us to look within. Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? Gate 61 is a pressure Gate from the Crown. Our spiritual side wants that we deal with these questions, which our mind cannot answer. The harder it tries, the crazier it gets. It’s like a dog running after its own tail. Answers come in the silent moments, when intuitions arise by themselves. Perhaps you can share some of them – Pluto is conjunct Venus from Dec 13 to Dec 16, which could create a sensitive atmosphere for this. Venus can also delight in the occult and indulge in esoteric speculations. Some people may enjoy going that way.
Socially, many of us will be involved in Christmas preparations and family gatherings. It can be beautiful to meet in a loving environment; however, when dramas emerge, do not get carried away. It may actually feel old and distractive. This is not a time for great emotions, rather see if you can stay true to yourself, neither reacting nor avoiding. December is more about exploring and enjoying our inner world. It’s a much more interesting place than you may think. It may be hard to believe, but in fact our inner world creates the one outside of us. Pluto, and after Dec 26, also Saturn are inviting us in. Both planets have a way of getting you there, even if you do not follow the invitation: unforeseen life events, or deep inspirations that seem to come out of the blue.
Vessel of Love
According to the planetary currents, the sharing of love that Christmas celebrates does not take place on Dec 24th or 25th, but a few days before, around the December solstice (midwinter in the northern hemisphere). Then, Sun and Earth are in the Incarnation Theme of the Vessel of Love, which is about sharing love. People born in this Incarnation Theme intuitively know that love is our natural state. Unfortunately, most of the others have forgotten this. It leaves the Vessel of Love people bewildered, and can cause them to lose their sense of self. When they come back to their natural state – Human Design can be of assistance in this process – they bring a loving glow to all their activities and meetings.
As mentioned before, Saturn joins Pluto in the Gate of Inner Truth, on Dec 26. Then Sun and Earth stand together with the Moon Nodes in Gates 52 and 58, where meanwhile Jupiter has moved as well, on Dec 20. The issue of integrating the abundance of life energy with our innermost truth will accompany us into the new year.
